109th Congress

Helping the Nation's Uninsured

The FamilyCare Act, the Medicare Early Access Act, and the Small Business Health Insurance Promotion Act could provide health insurance to more than half of the 45 million uninsured Americans. They build on programs that already work and ensure that three fast-growing vulnerable segments of the uninsured have access to affordable health care coverage: the low-income, near-elderly, and small business employees, including the self-employed.

H.R. 2071, FamilyCare Act of 2005

Introduced on May 4, 2005

Improving our Nation's health care system continues to be a complex challenge that must be a matter of national priority.
-- STATEMENT of SPONSOR, RANKING MEMBER JOHN D. DINGELL
