ON THE STRATEGIC PETROLEUM RESERVE

August 31, 2005

I support the President’s decision to use the Strategic Petroleum Reserve by lending oil to help refiners hurt by Hurricane Katrina. I also support efforts to increase this Nation’s oil refining capacity, and I am confident we can do that while complying with our environmental laws.
