The Committee on Energy and Commerce considered, pursuant to notice, the following nine Committee Prints approved by the Subcommittee on Health on June 19, 2007, and took the following actions:

Committee Print #1 on H.R. ______, the Prescription Drug User Fee Amendments of 2007 (PDUFA), as amended by the Subcommittee on Health, was ordered favorably reported to the House, amended, by a voice vote.

The following amendments were offered:

A manager's amendment offered by Mr. Pallone, #1, was adopted by a voice vote;

An amendment offered by Mr. Stupak, #2, was adopted by a voice vote;

An amendment offered by Mr. Deal, #3, was adopted by a voice vote;

An amendment offered by Mr. Buyer, #4, was withdrawn;

An amendment offered by Mr. Buyer, #5, was withdrawn;

An amendment offered by Mr. Stupak, #6, was adopted by a voice vote;

An amendment offered by Mr. Ross, #7, was withdrawn.

Committee Print #3 on H.R. ______, the Pediatric Medical Device Safety and Improvement Act of 2007, was ordered favorably reported to the House, amended, by a voice vote.

The following amendments were offered:

A manager's amendment offered by Mr. Pallone, #1, was adopted by a voice vote;

An amendment offered by Mr. Markey, #2, was adopted by a voice vote.

Committee Print #4 on H.R. ______, the Pediatric Research Equity Act of 2007, as amended by the Subcommittee on Health, was ordered favorably reported to the House, amended, by a voice vote.

The following amendment was offered:

Committee Print #5 on H.R. ______, the Best Pharmaceuticals for Children Act of 2007, as amended by the Subcommittee on Health, was ordered favorably reported to the House, amended, by a voice vote.

Committee Print #7 on H.R .______, to amend the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act with respect to conflicts of interest, and for other purposes, was ordered favorably reported to the House, without amendment by a voice vote.

The following amendment was offered:

An amendment offered by Mr. Burgess, #1, was withdrawn.

Committee Print #8 on H.R. ______, to amend the Public Health Service Act to provide for the establishment of a clinical trial registry database and a clinical trial results database, and for other purposes, as amended by the Subcommittee on Health, was ordered favorably reported to the House, amended, by a voice vote.

The following amendments were offered:

A manager's amendment offered by Mr. Pallone, #1, was adopted by a voice vote;

An amendment offered by Mr. Deal, #1, was withdrawn.

Committee Print #9 on H.R. ______, to amend the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to improve drug safety, and for other purposes, as amended by the Subcommittee on Health, was ordered favorably reported to the House, amended, by a voice vote.

The following amendments were offered:

An amendment to the Pallone amendment #1 offered by Mr. Stupak, #2, was defeated by a voice vote;

Committee Print #2 on H.R. ______, the Medical Device User Fee Amendments of 2007 (MDUFA), as amended by the Subcommittee on Health, was ordered favorably reported to the House, amended, by a voice vote.

The following amendments were offered:

An amendment offered by Mr. Inslee, #2, was adopted by a voice vote;

An amendment offered by Mr. Murphy, #3, was adopted by a voice vote.

Committee Print #6 on H.R. ______, to amend the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to provide for the establishment of the Reagan-Udall Foundation for the Food and Drug Administration, and for other purposes, as amended by the Subcommittee on Health, was ordered favorably reported to the House, amended, by a voice vote;

The following amendments were offered:

A manager's amendment offered by Mr. Pallone, #1, was adopted by a voice vote;

An amendment to the Pallone amendment #1 offered by Mr. Doyle, #1A, was adopted by a voice vote;

An amendment to the Pallone amendment #1 offered by Mr. Doyle, #1B, was defeated by a yea-nay vote: 14-24.

There was no objection to a unanimous consent request by Chairman Dingell that the Committee Prints ordered reported by the Committee be combined and introduced as a single bill, and that the introduced bill be reported by the Committee without additional consideration.

The Committee then voted on a motion by Mr. Pallone to report the combined bill favorably to the House without additional consideration by a yea-nay vote of 43-0.

The Committee adjourned subject to the call of the Chair
