H.R. 4167, "National Uniformity for Food Act of 2005", was ordered reported favorably to the House by a yea-nay vote: 30 - 18.

Motion by Mr. Dingell to postpone consideration of H.R. 4167 until February 15, 2005, was not agreed to by a yea-nay vote: 21 - 28.

The Committee then moved to consideration of H.R. 4167.

The following amendments were offered:

An amendment by Mrs. Capps, #1, re: notifications regarding birth defects or reproductive health problems, was defeated by a yea-nay vote: 21 - 23;

An amendment by Mr. Waxman, #2, re: ensuring adequate information for parents, was defeated by a yea-nay vote: 19 - 26;

An amendment by Mrs. Capps, #3, re: notifications regarding cancer, was defeated by a yea-nay vote: 21 - 22;

An amendment by Mr. Inslee, #4, re: preservation of State authority in the absence of specific Federal action, was withdrawn.

H.R. 3699, "Federal and District of Columbia Government Real Property Act of 2005", was ordered reported to the House, amended, without recommendation, by a voice vote.

The following amendment was offered:

An en bloc amendment by Mr. Barton, #1, was adopted by a voice vote.
