FULL COMMITTEE ACTION

H.R. 2491, "International Solid Waste Importation and Management Act of 2005", was ordered reported favorably to the House, as amended by the Subcommittee on Environment and Hazardous Materials, by a voice vote.

No amendments were offered at full committee.

H.R. 1065, "United States Boxing Commission Act", was ordered reported favorably to the House, amended, by a yea-nay vote: 25 - 16.

The following amendments were offered:

An amendment by Mr. Terry, #1, to prohibit the sport of boxing, was withdrawn by unanimous consent; and

An amendment by Mr. Rush, #2, re: clarification of the term 'judge' and the term 'matchmaker, and promulgation of uniform standards for professional boxing, was adopted by a voice vote.

H.R. 3084, "Drug Free Sports Act", was ordered reported favorably to the House, amended, by a yea-nay vote: 38 - 2.

The following amendments were offered:

An amendment by Mr. Stupak, #1, re: notification of athlete, coaching and training staffs about timing and frequency of random testing, was adopted by a voice vote;

An amendment by Mr. Waxman, #2, re: establishment of criteria to ensure the integrity of the testing process, was withdrawn by unanimous consent; and

Two amendments offered en bloc by Mr. Waxman, #3, re: applicable substances and prevention of the use of designer steroids, was withdrawn by unanimous consent.
