H.R. 1089: Mutual Fund Tax Awareness Act of 1999, was ORDERED FAVORABLY REPORTED, AMENDED, by a voice vote.

The following amendment was offered:

An amendment in the nature of a substitute by Mr. Gillmor, #1, was ADOPTED, by a voice vote.

H.R. 887: To amend the Securities and Exchange Act of 1934 to require improved disclosure of corporate charitable contributions, was WITHDRAWN by unanimous consent.

An amendment in the nature of a substitute by Mr. Gillmor, #1, was PENDING when H.R. 887 was withdrawn from consideration;

An amendment by Mr. Markey to the Gillmor amendment in the nature of a substitute, #1A, re: disclosure of political contributions, was ruled not germane;
