by a yea-nay vote: 22-32;
An amendment by Mrs. Capps,
#2, re: ensuring that information presented in abstinence education
programs are medically and scientifically accurate, was defeated by a
yea-nay vote: 19-31;
An amendment by Mr. Waxman,
#3, re: ensuring that funds appropriated for abstinence education
programs be expended only on programs that have been demonstrated to be effective, was defeated
by a yea-nay vote: 20-32.

medical assistance for 1 year,
was ORDERED FAVORABLY REPORTED by a voice vote. By unanimous consent, a clean
bill was ordered introduced, on which the Committee report will be filed; for further
