Committee Print on H.R. 5005: Homeland Security Act of 2002, was ordered favorably reported for transmission to the Select Committee on Homeland Security by a voice vote.

The following amendments were offered:

An amendment by Ms. Harman, #1, re: private sector entities with commercial technologies for homeland security, was withdrawn by unanimous consent;

An amendment by Mr. Markey, #2, re: establishment of task force on radiation source protection, was ruled not germane (motion to appeal ruling of the Chair was tabled by a yea-nay vote: 37-7);

An amendment by Mr. Markey, #3, re: privately owned critical infrastructure and cost of compliance with Federal security requirements, was withdrawn by unanimous consent.

H.Con.Res. 385: Expressing the sense of the congress that the Secretary of Health and Human Services should conduct or support research on certain tests to screen for ovarian cancer, and Federal health care programs and group and individual health plans should cover the tests if demonstrated to be effective, was ordered favorably reported by a voice vote.

No amendments were offered.
