An amendment to the amendment in the nature of a substitute by Mrs. Wilson, #1A, re: Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) study to assess vulnerabilities, was adopted by a voice vote;

An amendment to the amendment in the nature of a substitute by Mr. Markey, #1B, re: specific authorization for the President to deploy armed forces and restrict air space in the vicinity of nuclear facilities licensed by the NRC to defend the facilities, was withdrawn by unanimous consent;

An amendment to the amendment in the nature of a substitute by Mr. Markey, #1C, re: NRC rulemaking to consider changes to the design basis threat for facilities licensed by the NRC, was adopted by a voice vote;

An amendment to the amendment in the nature of a substitute by Messrs. Markey and Upton, #1D, re: increasing financial penalty to $1 million and imprisonment term to a maximum of life without parole for the sabotage of nuclear facilities or fuel, was adopted by a voice vote;

An amendment to the amendment in the nature of a substitute by Mr. Markey, #1E, re: transportation of nuclear materials, was withdrawn by unanimous consent.
