An amendment by Mr. Ganske, #3, re: conditions under which insurance companies will and will not hold individual health and medical information confidential, was ADOPTED, as amended by the Stearns amendment, by a yea-nay vote: 25-23;

An amendment to the Ganske amendment by Mr. Stearns, #3A, re: addition of genetic information to the types of information covered by the Ganske confidentiality amendment, was ADOPTED by voice vote;

An amendment by Mr. Barrett, #4, re: insurance data disclosure, was DEFEATED by a yea-nay vote: 17-28;

An amendment by Mr. Barrett, #5, re: Commerce Department study of redlining, was DEFEATED by a yea-nay vote: 19-23;

An amendment by Mr. Towns, #6, re: unitary thrift holding companies, was DEFEATED, as amended by the Greenwood amendment, by a yea-nay vote: 23-26;

An amendment to the Towns amendment by Mr. Greenwood, #6A, re: study of effect of allowing commercial companies to continue to acquire grandfathered unitary thrift holding companies, was ADOPTED by a yea-nay vote: 34-14;

An amendment by Mr. Markey, #7, re: privacy of consumer information ("opt in /opt out"), was ADOPTED, as amended by the Gillmor substitute amendment (7A) as amended by the Markey amendment (7A-1), by a voice vote;

A substitute amendment to the Markey amendment by Mr. Gillmor, #7A, re: privacy of consumer information, was ADOPTED, as amended by the Markey amendment (7A-1), by a voice vote;

An amendment to the Gillmor substitute amendment by Mr. Markey, #7A-1, re: opt-out for information transfers, was ADOPTED by a voice vote;

An amendment to the Gillmore substitute amendment by Mr. Markey, #7A-2, re: opt-in for third party transfers, was DEFEATED by a yea-nay vote: 10-24.
