Prior to consideration of legislation, Mr. Dingell, Ranking Minority Member of the Committee, asked UNANIMOUS CONSENT that the assignments of Ms. Furse to the Subcommittee on Telecommunications and Finance and Mr. Rush to the Subcommittee on Commerce, Trade, and Hazardous Materials, previously announced as temporary, be made permanent effective June 16, 1995. No objection was heard.

H.R. 1062: FINANCIAL SERVICES COMPETITIVENESS ACT OF 1995, was ORDERED REPORTED WITHOUT RECOMMENDATION, as reported by the Committee on Banking and Financial Services Committee, by voice vote.

The following amendments were offered:
Three amendments offered en bloc by Mr. Markey, #1, re: securities affiliate investments, SEC consultation, and advisory committee, were WITHDRAWN by unanimous consent;
