- An amendment to the Bliley substitute by Messrs. Markey and Deutsch, #1D, re:
spousal impoverishment, was NOT AGREED TO by a yea-nay vote: 18-23;
- An amendment to the Bliley substitute by Messrs. Bilirakis and Deal, #1E, re:
spousal impoverishment, was AGREED TO by a voice vote;
- An amendment to the Bliley substitute by Mr. Klink, #1F, re: protection of
adult children against long-term costs of parents, was NOT AGREED TO by a yea-nay vote:
19-24;
- An amendment to the Bliley substitute by Mrs. Lincoln, #1G, re: protection
against liens on homes and farms, was NOT AGREED TO by a yea-nay vote: 17-23;
- An amendment to the Bliley substitute by Mr. Studds, #1H, re: prohibition
against the use of pre-existing condition exclusions, was WITHDRAWN, with no objection;

assuring continued protection of children, was NOT AGREED TO by a yea-nay vote: 18-23;
- An amendment to the Bliley substitute by Mr. Wyden, #1J, re: screening and

- An amendment to the Bliley substitute by Mr. Ganske #1N, re: equal payment
rates for rural providers, was AGREED TO by a voice vote.
- An amendment to the Bliley substitute by Mr. Waxman #1O, re: state entitlement,
was NOT AGREED TO by a yea-nay vote: 14-31.
