DINGELL STATEMENT ON HOUSE REPUBLICAN EFFORTS
TO HELP FIGHT SLAMMING
I'm pleased that slamming scams have caught Mr. Tauzin's attention. Nearly 60 House Members
have already joined me in a tough anti-slamming proposal, H.R. 3050. I have less confidence than
my colleague that consumers' interests will be protected by more bureaucratic proceedings at the
FCC, but I'm hopeful that together we can craft good legislation that accomplishes our shared
goals.
