Vice Chairman of the Health and Oversight and Investigations Subcommittees Michael C. Burgess, M.D. (R-TX) joined Fox Business Network’s Gerri Willis to discuss the problems that defined day one of the health law’s open enrollment and the fundamental failures of the law.

Some highlights of Burgess’ comments:

“Some of it was predictable because of the way the law was written, the way the law was drafted. It was full of errors. …

“They have had so much time and so much money to get this thing up and working, and it’s not working. …

“The visit to their doctor won’t be the same as what it’s been in the past. …

“When people see the price of the lowest tier of insurance, the bronze plan, which is a 60 percent actuarial value, they are still going to pay a lot for their medical care after they paid a lot for their insurance.”
