The Subcommittee on Commerce, Trade, and Consumer Protection will hold a hearing entitled "The Proposed Consumer Financial Protection Agency:  Implications for Consumers and FTC" on Wednesday, July 8, 2009, in room 2123 Rayburn House Office Building.  The hearing will examine the Administration's proposal to create a new agency responsible for consumer protection with regard to financial products and services.
