Letter to HHS Regarding Sexual Risk Avoidance Education


Excerpt: As the Chairman of the Energy & Commerce Health Subcommittee, I have supported programs that ensure the availability of sexual risk avoidance (SRA) education. Reasearch detailed in the Committee’s report on SRA, “A Better Approach to Teenage Pregnancy Prevention,” shows that SRA is not only the best choice, but often the first choice of both parents and teens. Therefore, it is important that SRA education be readily available.
