One Year After House Acted to Approve the Pipeline, Members and Supporters Will Highlight Why It’s #TimetoBuild
WASHINGTON, DC – House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Fred Upton (R-MI) and Commerce, Manufacturing, and Trade Subcommittee Chairman Lee Terry (R-NE) will host a Google Hangout tomorrow to urge action by the administration and the Senate to build the Keystone XL pipeline a year after the House passed H.R. 3. Reps. Upton and Terry will be joined by David Mallino, Legislative Director of the Laborers International Union of North America (LIUNA), and Nebraska landowner Bob Hilger to discuss the jobs and benefits the Keystone XL pipeline will bring to local communities and the growing frustration among American workers over the project’s delays. Additional participants may be announced.
