WASHINGTON, DC - Energy and Commerce Committee leaders have expanded their investigation of the now 3-year unsolved case of toxic and sometimes lethal contaminated heparin supplies that were imported from China and given to U.S. patients. FDA Commissioner Margaret Hamburg testified during an Oversight and Investigations hearing in April that the agency was not pursuing the cause of the heparin contamination.
