WASHINGTON, DC – House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Fred Upton (R-MI) and Commerce, Manufacturing, and Trade Subcommittee Chairman Michael C. Burgess, M.D. (R-TX) today responded to the Federal Trade Commission’s report on the Internet of Things.
WASHINGTON, DC – The House Energy and Commerce Committee today announced its hearing schedule for the week of January 26. The committee will explore what elements should be included in legislation to protect consumers from data breaches and review a number of public health bills.
The Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing, and Trade, chaired by Rep. Michael C. Burgess, M.D. (R-TX), has scheduled a hearing for January 27, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. in room 2123 of the Rayburn House Office Building. The hearing is entitled, “What are the Elements of Sound Data Breach Legislation?”
