Committee Internship and Fellowship Opportunities

The Committee on Energy and Commerce is currently accepting applications from college undergraduates or recent college graduates, as well as those seeking fellowships. Committee interns will work with staff to gain a greater knowledge of the legislative process in the House of Representatives and the Committee’s role in this process.

Undergraduate interns may be assigned to work with the staff at the full committee or one of the Committee’s six subcommittees. Duties may include entry-level duties, such as research projects, preparation for hearings and markups, as well as a variety of administrative duties. Those with fellowships will be assigned to a specific subcommittee and work closely with counsels providing research and hearing/markup preparation.

All applicants should be available for a minimum of six weeks. Some part-time positions are available. For those seeking fellowships, please specify any program requirements in your cover letter.
