New documents uncovered by the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s investigation into the botched rollout of the president’s health care law reveal that top HHS and White House officials had serious concerns about HealthCare.gov just days before launch. The emails between top HHS officials express concerns about the results of testing as late as September 30, the day before the site launched. Just last week, President Obama said, “We would not have rolled out something knowing very well that it wasn’t going to work the way it was supposed, given all the scrutiny that we knew was going to be on the website.” Did the president not know the concerns among his top officials?
