VIDEO: Chairman Fred Upton Discusses Why It's #TimeToBuild the Keystone XL Pipeline on Fox Business
WASHINGTON, DC – This morning, House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Fred Upton (R-MI) joined Fox Business Network’s Stuart Varney and Co. to highlight the need to construct the Keystone XL pipeline. It has been over 1,606 days since TransCanada first applied to the State Department for a Presidential Permit to construct the project. The proposed 1,700-mile pipeline would transport crude oil from Canada to the Gulf of Mexico, create approximately 20,000 direct and 100,000 indirect jobs and inject $7 billion of private investment into the economy. With the economy contracting last quarter, it is well past time for the president to say “yes” to middle class jobs and do “whatever it takes” to approve the Keystone project. It’s #TimeToBuild the Keystone XL pipeline.
