WASHINGTON, DC – The House of Representatives today unanimously passed S. 920, the National Clinical Care Commission Act, by voice vote. Rep. Pete Olson (R-TX) authored the House companion bill, H.R. 309, which passed the House by voice vote earlier this year.
S. 920 will establish a national clinical care commission to evaluate and recommend solutions regarding better coordination and use of federal programs focused on improving care for people with metabolic syndromes and related autoimmune disorders.
“This important public health initiative ensures better, coordinated care for patients with diabetes and other endocrine diagnoses,” said #SubHealth Chairman Michael C. Burgess, M.D. (R-TX). “I welcome the president’s swift action to sign this bipartisan bill into law so these patients receive preventative care and help managing their disease.”
