Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) and Communications and Technology Subcommittee Chair Mike Doyle (D-PA) announced today that the Communications and Technology Subcommittee will hold a fully remote hearing on Wednesday, April 21, at 11:30 a.m. (EDT) on ensuring a secure and coordinated wireless network future. The hearing is entitled, “Leading the Wireless Future: Securing American Network Technology.”

“After years of falling behind in the global supply chain of wireless technology, the United States needs to prioritize the production of secure and modern wireless equipment. This—along with an interagency, harmonized effort to coordinate our airwaves—is crucial to ensuring our wireless technology is both secure and economically competitive on the world stage,” Pallone and Doyle said. “At next week’s hearing, we look forward to discussing how best to modernize and secure our national wireless network for the future in a coordinated way.”

This hearing will be conducted remotely via Cisco Webex video conferencing. Members of the public may view the hearing via live webcast accessible on the Energy and Commerce Committee’s website. Please note the webcast will not be available until the hearing begins.
