Chair Rodgers Rebukes Biden’s Decision to Indefinitely Pause LNG Exports
Washington, D.C. — House Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) released a statement following the Biden administration’s announcement that the U.S. would pause approvals for liquefied natural gas (LNG) export terminals indefinitely to review the licensing process.
“President Biden’s decision to indefinitely pause LNG export permits prioritizes the wishes of radical activists over U.S. energy security and the security of our allies. This is another gift to Putin. Everyday Americans want our energy unleashed to strengthen the economy, safeguard jobs, and keep us secure. That’s what Republicans will continue to fight for.”
