Saturday marks one year since H.R. 6, the 21st Century Cures Act, unanimously passed the Energy and Commerce Committee. The vote marked an important milestone, but it was an especially noteworthy day for a little boy named Max who has a RASopathy called Noonan syndrome, a rare genetic condition that prevents normal development in various parts of the body.
You remember Max, and surely you know his artwork.
Max’s new #CuresIn4Words: Time is running out!
Max on Friday drew up some new artwork with a special message for the occasion, and even came up with a new #CuresIn4Words – “Time is running out!” We asked him why we need H.R. 6 and he said, “Cures is very, very good because it helps people." As Chairman Upton (R-MI) reiterated earlier this week, Cures is all about putting patients first.
In reflecting on the one year since the full committee vote, we’ve compiled some highlights of Max’s special day on the #Path2Cures.
