WASHINGTON, DC – The Subcommittee on Environment, chaired by Rep. John Shimkus (R-IL), announced today a hearing for Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 9:15 a.m. in room 2322 of the Rayburn House Office Building. The hearing is entitled, “Background on Renewable Identification Numbers under the Renewable Fuel Standard.”

#SubEnvironment Advances Bill to Reform NSR Permitting Program

WASHINGTON, DC – The Subcommittee on Environment, chaired by Rep. John Shimkus (R-IL), today held a markup on legislation to amend the Clean Air Act to provide much needed clarity to the New Source Review (NSR) permitting process.

H.R. 3128, the New Source Review Permitting Improvement Act of 2018, authored by Rep. Morgan Griffith (R-VA), passed #SubEnvironment, as amended, by a vote of 13-9.
