Bipartisan E&C Leaders Commend Passage of Bipartisan FCC Auction Authority Bill
Washington, D.C. — House Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Cathy Rodgers (R-WA), Ranking Member Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ), Communications and Technology Subcommittee Chair Bob Latta (R-OH), and Subcommittee Ranking Member Doris Matsui (D-CA) commended the passage of H.R. 1108 to extend the Federal Communication Commission auction authority deadline to May 19, 2023.

Extending the FCC’s spectrum auction authority is critical for strengthening American leadership in innovation and our global competitive edge against China, making it all the more important to get the job done. We applaud the passage of H.R. 1108, which will help ensure we have the time necessary to work with our Senate colleagues to adopt a strong spectrum policy for America to win the future of wireless technology.”
