Washington, D.C. — House Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) issued the following statement today, as Americans from across the country gather for the 51st March for Life: 

“Protecting the value and dignity of every human life starts with making sure no woman feels like abortion is her only option. As we settle into this new chapter in American history, we must continue to define the most important human rights issue of our generation by providing hope, care, and support for mothers and their children at every stage of their lives. I welcome the marchers, who come from all walks of life but are united in their belief that every life is worth living. I’m hopeful that we will come together as a nation to value the sanctity, value, and dignity of every human life.
