Chairman Guthrie Announces Committee General Counsel Ryan Giachetti

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02), Chairman of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, announced the Committee’s new General Counsel is Ryan Giachetti, following the departure of Jessica Donlon who has joined private practice following 16 years of government service.

Ryan Giachetti will serve as General Counsel for the Committee on Energy and Commerce. Most recently, Ryan served as Chief Counsel for the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform under Chairman James Comer, where he previously served as Deputy General Counsel and Parliamentarian. Ryan joined the Oversight Committee as Counsel in 2023 after serving as Counsel and Professional Staff Member on the Committee on House Administration.

Ryan is a graduate of the Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he served as president of the school’s Federalist Society chapter, and received a bachelor’s degree in public relations, advertising, and applied communication from the University of St. Francis.
