Chairs Rodgers and Guthrie Celebrate Passage of Bipartisan Dr. Emmanuel Bilirakis and Honorable Jennifer Wexton National Plan to End Parkinson’s Act

Washington, D.C. — House Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) and Subcommittee on Health Chair Brett Guthrie (R-KY) released the following statement after the House passed H.R. 2365, the Dr. Emmanuel Bilirakis and Honorable Jennifer Wexton National Plan to End Parkinson’s Act.

“This bipartisan legislation bolsters efforts to find treatments and a cure for Parkinson’s—giving more hope to the one million Americans affected by the disease. We're grateful to Representative Bilirakis for championing this cause named in honor of his late brother and our colleague, Rep. Jennifer Wexton, who is bravely battling a particularly insidious form of the disease. We are inspired by her strength and courage."
