Chairs Rodgers, Griffith Announce Oversight Hearing on Protecting America’s Electric Infrastructure

Washington, D.C. — House Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers(R-WA) and Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations Chair Morgan Griffith (R-VA) today announced a subcommittee hearing titled "Examining Emerging Threats to Electric Energy Infrastructure." 

The Chairs released the following statement: 

“America's electric grid keeps our hospitals, military bases, homes, and businesses powered. Ensuring it is secure is critical to keeping people safe and our economy moving, as well as safeguarding our national security. Building upon this committee’s important work examining recent energy infrastructure threats, this hearing will give members the opportunity to evaluate the types of threats to our grid that pose the greatest danger and how to mitigate risks. We will hear from experts and stakeholders on how to best focus federal preparedness efforts.”
