Chair Rodgers Commends House Passage of Energy Emergency Leadership Act

Washington D.C. — House Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) applauds the passage of H.R. 3277, the Energy Emergency Leadership Act. The bill, led by Rep. Tim Walberg (R-MI) and Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-DE), passed the House with broad bipartisan support.

“Strengthening American energy security continues to be a top priority for the Energy and Commerce Committee. By elevating energy emergency response to the Senate-confirmed Assistant Secretary level, the Energy Emergency Leadership Act ensures the Department of Energy is better able to coordinate, prepare for, and respond to all threats to our nation’s energy supply. I applaud Reps. Walberg and Blunt Rochester for their bipartisan work to harden our critical energy infrastructure and enhance our national security.”
