Chairs Rodgers and Duncan Announce Hearing to Ensure a Reliable and Affordable Electric Grid

Washington D.C. — House Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) and Energy, Climate, and Grid Security Subcommittee Chair Jeff Duncan (R-SC) announced a hearing titled "Powered Up: State Utility Regulators on Challenges to Reliable, Affordable Electricity.”

“America's electric grid is critical to every aspect of our lives and our economic prosperity—powering our homes, businesses, and schools. Ensuring its security and reliability is one of our top priorities on Energy and Commerce,” said Chairs Rodgers and Duncan. “This hearing will be an opportunity to hear directly from state public utility commissioners about the threats and challenges facing our electric grid as well as how we can ensure reliable and affordable electricity for Americans.”
