Washington, D.C. — House Energy and Commerce Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) and Energy, Climate, and Grid Security Subcommittee Chair Jeff Duncan (R-SC) today announced a legislative hearing titled “American Nuclear Energy Expansion: Updating Policies for Efficient, Predictable Licensing and Deployment.” 

 “Nuclear energy is key to winning the future with reliable, affordable, and clean energy. Next week, we look forward to building upon our efforts to restore American nuclear fuel infrastructure with a legislative hearing to discuss more than a dozen potential solutions that members on both sides of the aisle are leading on. We expect to hear from the Department of Energy, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and key stakeholders as we work to advance American leadership in nuclear energy and technology.”
