Chairs Rodgers & Duncan Announce Texas Field Hearing on Biden’s Energy Crisis

Washington, D.C. — House Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Cathy Rodgers (R-WA) and Energy, Climate, and Grid Security Subcommittee Chair Jeff Duncan (R-SC) today announced a field hearing to address the damage of President Biden shutting down American energy.

“Americans are currently struggling to afford some of the highest energy prices in decades. Rush-to-green policies have led to skyrocketing prices across the board—from electricity and oil to natural gas. This is not a path we can afford to continue down. Instead, it’s time to flip the switch and unleash American energy, one of our greatest economic and strategic assets. That starts by expanding domestic production, ensuring pipelines and other key infrastructure can be built, encouraging innovation, and reducing our reliance on foreign adversaries. We look forward to this field hearing in Midland, Texas, to discuss ways to expand energy production and restore American energy dominance.”
