It’s the best way to fight inflation, improve people’s quality of life, and reduce emissions

The solution to President Biden’s energy and economic crisis is not in Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, China, or any other foreign regime producing dirtier energy. It is right here in America—in the fields of Texas, Pennsylvania, and North Dakota—at the hands of American workers and energy producers.

 By deploying MORE American energy and infrastructure—like hydropower, advanced nuclear, and natural gas export terminals and pipelines—America can again lead the way in reducing emissions and providing people with affordable, reliable, and abundant energy.

That’s why, as part of House Republicans’ Commitment to America, Energy and Commerce Republicans are leading on solutions to unleash American energy for lower prices and more jobs. Policies like the American Energy Independence from Russia Act, which Democrats have blocked 6 times on the House floor. This bill would:

• Lower energy prices and reclaim America’s energy security by modernizing American infrastructure; 
• Encourage more U.S. energy production and provide our allies with a cleaner and more secure alternative to Russia; 
• Restart oil and gas leasing on federal lands and waters; 
• Protect energy and mineral development from attacks by the Biden administration; and 
• Immediately approve the Keystone XL pipeline. 

The Securing Cleaner American Energy Agenda promotes abundant, reliable, and affordable energy by:

• Unleashing innovation for cleaner energy, including; 
• Strengthening our supply chains so we aren’t dependent on China; 
• Removing regulatory and permitting barriers to produce and export clean American natural gas; 
• Reversing the unnecessary trend of electricity blackouts; and  
• Increasing the use of fossil energy, emissions-free hydropower and nuclear power, and carbon capture technologies.

The Securing America’s Mineral Supply Chains Act will reduce our critical mineral dependence on adversaries like the Chinese Communist Party and Russia by:

• Streamlining the permitting process for mining on federal lands and authorizing national security waivers to expedite permitting of mineral processing and refining facilities here at home; 
• Establishing a strategic reserve of uranium to reduce our dependence on Russia; and 
• Directing the Department of Energy to counter China’s dominance in the critical energy resource supply chain and strategically boost America’s domestic production and refining capacity.

BOTTOMLINE: The best way to fight inflation, lower the cost of living, reduce emissions, and improve people’s quality of life is to unleash energy production here at home. American energy is the cleanest, most affordable, and most reliable in the world. For a strong economy and cleaner energy future, House Republicans will flip the switch on American energy on day one.
