Chair Rodgers Appoints Buddy Carter as new Environment, Manufacturing, and Critical Materials Subcommittee Chair
Washington, D.C. — House Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) announced today that Rep. Buddy Carter (R-GA) will serve as Chair of the Environment, Manufacturing, and Critical Materials Subcommittee, replacing Rep. Bill Johnson (R-OH), who is retiring from Congress later this month.
“Energy and Commerce Republicans are leading on solutions to improve people’s lives, lower costs, and ensure the U.S. leads a new era of innovation. Buddy Carter has played a pivotal role in these efforts on the Committee and has consistently advocated for American values, such as free market competition, entrepreneurship, and environmental stewardship. He is exceptionally qualified to lead this Subcommittee as we continue our efforts to unleash American energy, reduce emissions, and beat China.”
