Meet Dr. Francis. A Pro-Life OBGYN Caring for Women and Babies.

Meet Christina Francis, MD.   Dr. Francis is a board-certified OB/GYN in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She also sits on the board of the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists.   She’s dedicated her life to human rights – specifically the right to life.   Dr. Francis has spent a lot of time in Romania, Burma, and Kenya caring for orphaned children. She also worked for three years providing health care to women as the only OB/GYN at a mission hospital in rural Kenya.   Dr. Francis knows the value, dignity, and potential of every life.   As a doctor treating pregnant women, she cares for two patients at once – a mother and a baby.    On Tuesday, she testified in front of the House Energy and Commerce Committee to share her expertise to dispel the fear and misinformation President Joe Biden and the Democrats are spreading to promote abortion for all nine months.   Dr. Francis made clear: She practices medicine to care for both mother and the baby because both lives are worth living.   Read Dr. Christina Francis’ testimony in her own words:   “Our country is currently divided over the issue of abortion, but I do think that there is common ground to be found.    “One thing we should all agree upon is that women deserve excellent healthcare and to be empowered with accurate information to inform that healthcare.     “We have had nearly unfettered access to abortion in this country over the last 49 years and yet we continue to have one of the worst maternal mortality rates in the developed world, along with the worst preterm birth rate.    “I believe that my patients deserve better and it is time for us to look for real solutions to the root causes of these problems.    “As OB/GYN physicians, we care for two patients during pregnancy.    “Abortion guarantees the ending of the life of one of our patients – and can severely threaten the life and health of the other.    “Science is clear that a new, distinct, and living human being comes into existence at the moment of fertilization. Dr. Ward Kischer, the author of one of my medical school textbooks, said this: ‘Every human embryologist in the world knows that the life of the new individual human being begins at fertilization…It is a scientific fact.’    “Abortive procedures are more than detrimental to the life of the pre-born child, though - they are also dangerous to the mother both in the short and long-term.    “Pregnancy is not a disease and elective abortion is not healthcare.    “Despite what proponents of abortion may claim, elective abortion carries no maternal benefit and ends the life of a separate human being.    “As demonstrated by hundreds of studies over nearly five decades, abortive procedures carry several deleterious effects for women, including the risk of preterm birth and mental health problems. These problems have a statistically greater impact on minority populations.   “The effects of induced abortions impact women throughout their lifespan, and as board-certified physicians, we believe that our patients’ health will be improved if they receive actual healthcare - not the devastation and false promises of abortion.    “In fact, elective abortion exists to solve a social problem, not a medical one.   “Since the Dobbs decision overturned Roe and Casey, there have been unsubstantiated claims stating that restricting abortion will lead to women dying and that by increasing access to abortion we can decrease maternal mortality rates. These statements, meant to instill fear in women and medical professionals, are baseless for a number of reasons.”   […]   “False claims abound that state abortion restrictions will prevent physicians from being able to treat ectopic pregnancies, miscarriage, and other life-threatening complications in pregnancy (such as an intrauterine infection). This is blatantly absurd, as not a single state law restricting abortion prevents treating these conditions.”   Dr. Francis finished her statement with hope for a post-Roe America, stating:   “Healthcare for women and their children in a post-Roe America looks bright.    “States can enact commonsense protections for women seeking abortions to ensure that if abortion remains legal in that state, unsafe practices will not be tolerated.    “We now have a chance for individual states to hear from the physicians that practice there about how we can, instead, provide true healthcare for all of our patients – not a band-aid for social issues that need to be addressed outside of the medical profession.    “We also face the distinct possibility of restoring the integrity of the physician-patient relationship by restoring the trust that patients should have that their physician is recommending what is best for their health and the health of their child based on the most current medical evidence and informed by the ethical principles that have guided the practice of medicine for millennia.    “Our patients are empowered when they are given accurate information, fully informed consent, and real healthcare solutions rather than a political narrative.”   Helpful Resources: CLICK HERE  to meet Chloe. Leader Rodgers: Defending Life is the Human Rights Issue of Our Generation

Democrats’ Extreme Abortion Agenda Nationalizes Abortion for All Nine Months Washington, D.C. — Energy and Commerce Committee Republican Leader Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) led debate against Democrats’ Abortions on Demand Until Birth Act on the House floor. It nationalizes abortion for all nine months of pregnancy. Leader Rodgers defended the unborn because “all lives are worth living.” ABORTION FOR ALL NINE MONTHS “To protect the helpless, most powerless, and most innocent among us, I rise in strong opposition to H.R. 8296, the Abortion on Demand Until Birth Act. “This is not about codifying Roe v Wade. “Why? Because it nationalizes abortion for all nine months of pregnancy. All nine months. “This would make America just as radical as China and North Korea. “The Abortion on Demand Until Birth Act would legalize discriminatory abortions based on sex, race, and disability, including Down syndrome. “It overrides state laws that protect women from coercion, and it would weaken the conscience protections to force pro-life doctors to perform abortions and end a life. “This is especially frightening for pregnancy centers, faith-based providers, and medical professionals, who are using amazing medical achievements and treating both mothers and their babies in the womb as patients. “We are doing prenatal heart surgery, today, in the United States of America. “The Abortion on Demand Until Birth Act has nothing to do with protecting the health of women. It has everything to do with forcing an extreme agenda on the American people.” SUPPORTING WOMEN “Rather than prey on women’s vulnerabilities and fears and nationalize abortion for all nine months, we should be coming together to support women and their families at every stage of pregnancy and beyond. “Every mother matters. “76 percent of women seeking an abortion say they would choose life if their circumstances were different. “The focus should be on how to change their circumstances, help them access the care and support they need and improve their lives. “Presenting abortion up until birth as a women’s only option is a false choice. “There are nearly 3,000 pregnancy centers in all 50 states. “They outnumber Planned Parenthood by more than 2,000 facilities. “These pregnancy centers—which are right now under violent attack by pro-abortion groups—provide medical care, resources, education, and mentoring to women. “They must be protected—not undermined and threatened by an extreme abortion agenda.” DEFENDING HUMAN RIGHTS “The Supreme Court has affirmed the American people’s right to speak through their elected officials to enact laws that protect unborn children. “The question is upon us, today, is how are we going to respond? How is this body going to respond to the greatest human rights issue of our generation? “Ladies and gentlemen, that’s the question. This is the human rights issue of our generation. “Do not close your ears! Do not close your eyes! Do not close your heart! “Is it by dehumanizing life and promoting a culture that destroys the weakest among us? “Or is it by making abortion unthinkable leading a new era where every person’s God-given unalienable human rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all the way we will define ourselves? “Let’s come together, let's protect the human rights of the unborn. “We cannot deny life to the most disadvantaged and marginalized among us. They have no voice to defend themselves. “Madame Speaker, abortion for all nine months is not the will of the American people. “I urge opposition to H.R. 8296, the Abortion on Demand Until Birth Act because all lives are worth living.”

Leader Rodgers: This Extreme Agenda for More Abortion Promotes Fear and Dehumanization

We Should be Coming Together Around Human Righ ts of the Unborn Washington, D.C. — Energy and Commerce Committee Republican Leader Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) led debate against Democrats’ “Ensuring Access to Abortion Act” today. DEMOCRATS PUSHING A FALSE CHOICE “I rise in strong opposition to H.R. 8297, the Ensuring Access to Abortion Act. “Just like the Democrats’ Abortion on Demand Until Birth Act, this bill is part of an extreme agenda to nationalize abortion for all nine months of pregnancy. “Abortion is a false choice between taking care of a woman and taking care of a baby. “What a woman needs is support. Every life is meaningful, and our actions significant.” DEMOCRATIC FEARMONGERING “76 percent of women seeking an abortion say they would choose life if their circumstances were different. “Instead of promoting ways to support women and children with better health care, education, and financial stability and changing their circumstances, Democrats, including President Biden, are spreading fear, anxiety, and misinformation. “This is a blatant attempt to spread fear and present abortion at any stage of pregnancy as a woman’s only option. “So, I want to be very clear. It is already unconstitutional to prevent a woman from traveling between states. “The pro-life movement does not support and has always rejected criminalizing and punishing women, period. “State laws currently in effect have exceptions to save the life of the mother. “Pro-life laws do not prevent women from getting care they need in cases of miscarriages and ectopic pregnancies.” THIS BILL PROTECTS PREDATORS “Regarding this legislation, the Ensuring Access to Abortion Act, I have many questions and concerns. “Its vague language—designed to promote more abortions—undermines parent consent for minors, opens loopholes for abuse, and eliminates medical supervision for chemical abortions. “This bill does nothing to explicitly prevent an unrelated adult or a sexual abuser from taking a minor out-of-state for an abortion, without parent consent. “It would prevent health care professionals, social workers, and schools in every state from reporting instances of child abuse, sexual abuse, and neglect because that could be seen as delaying or hindering access to abortion. “It also undermines parental rights. “Parents can be targeted by the federal government and sued for wanting to help their child just by asking them to delay traveling to get an abortion. “If their child is 16 for example, the parents lose power to protect their teenager from being coerced by an older man to get an abortion.” HARMING THE HEALTH OF WOMEN “The Ensuring Access to Abortion Act undermines the health and safety of women. “By pre-empting state laws regulating the practice of medicine, it overrides the majority of states that have determined it is safest for doctors to prescribe pills for chemical abortions. “This puts women and minors in danger if they experience complications. “Finally, these same provisions give sexual abusers and human traffickers more direct access to chemical abortions in all 50 states. “It ensures that doctors in states like California, where there is no parent consent, can effectively become pill mills, by prescribing and mailing abortion drugs to children and minors and end lives all over the country. “This is extreme.” DEFENDING HUMAN RIGHTS “Again, I ask my colleagues to abandon this agenda for unlimited abortions with no restrictions. “It only promotes more fear, pain, and dehumanization of the most vulnerable, the helpless among us. “Instead, let’s come together around the human rights of every person in this country—born and unborn. “Let’s celebrate the dignity, value, and potential of every person. “This is our chance to lead a new era of hope and healing in our country. For every person—for moms and their babies at every stage of life. “Every life is worth living. “I urge a ‘no’ vote on this bill and reserve the balance of my time.”

Leader Rodgers: Every Life is Worth Living

Washington, D.C. —  Energy and Commerce Committee Republican Leader Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) delivered the following remarks in a Rules Committee hearing today on H.R. 8296, the Abortion on Demand Until Birth Act, and H.R. 8297, the Loopholes for Child Traffickers Act.  Her remarks, as prepared for delivery:  ABORTION ON DEMAND, MORE RADICAL THAN ROE     “The bills before us today are NOT about codifying Roe v. Wad e. These bills go far beyond that.  “ H.R. 8296, the Abortion on Demand Until Birth Act nationalizes abortion for all nine months of pregnancy, making America just as radical as China and North Korea.    “It legalizes discriminatory abortions based on sex, race, and disability—what used to be plainly and clearly called eugenics.  “It overrides state laws that protect women from coercion, and overrides laws designed to give parents accurate information about the pre-natal diagnoses of a disability, including Down syndrome.  “All of this has nothing to do with protecting the health of women, and everything to do with forcing an extreme agenda on the American people.”  LOOPHOLES FOR CHILD TRAFFICKERS   “We are also assessing all the potential consequences of Ms. Fletcher’s new bill. This bill, as currently written, clearly has had no committee process or work just like the Abortion on Demand bill.   “I have many questions and concerns, the biggest around human trafficking, minors, and also parental consent.  “First, it stops health care professionals, social workers, and schools in every state from reporting instances of child abuse and neglect because that could be seen as delaying or hindering access to abortion.    “This hurts law enforcement’s ability to keep children safe and hold sexual abusers and human traffickers accountable.    “It also undermines parental consent. Parents can be targeted by the federal government and sued for wanting to help their child and asking them to delay out-of-state travel to get an abortion.    “Finally, this bill stops states from preventing abortion pill mills and gives traffickers and abusers more direct access to chemical abortions in all 50 states.”  NO LIMITS ON ABORTION FOR ALL NINE MONTHS   “Overall, this is America’s future under the Democrats’ extreme agenda.   “No limits on abortion for all nine months of pregnancy.   “Abortions for any reason including based on race, sex, and disability.   “The elimination of people with Down syndrome.   “Loopholes for human traffickers to cross state lines and cover up their crimes by forcing victims to get an abortion.   “The destruction of pro-life pregnancy centers providing health care and helping women and their babies.    “The denial of science and amazing medical achievements that allow us to treat both mothers and their babies in the womb as patients.    “And, doctors and healthcare providers forced to violate their sincerely held beliefs and perform abortions to end a life.   “There is nothing about this agenda that celebrates human rights or the dignity of every person. This is not how I define a free and just society for my daughters and my son.”  THE LEFT’S FEARMONGERING   “Both of these bills are designed to present abortion at any stage of pregnancy as a woman’s only option.  “However, 76 percent of women seeking an abortion say they would choose life if their circumstances were different.   “Instead of promoting ways to lift more women up with better health care, education, and financial stability and change their circumstances, Democrats, including President Biden, are spreading fear, anxiety, and misinformation.   “It’s a disservice to women everywhere, and also creating uncertainty for their health care providers.  “These are the facts. Regarding miscarriages, the medical care for these tragedies is not the same as an induced abortion.  “For any woman who has experienced the loss of a baby, we grieve with them. I’ve experienced their pain too. Pro-life laws do not prevent women from getting care they need in cases of miscarriage. “In addition, it’s a fear tactic to say that women will have to choose between jail or death if they have an ectopic pregnancy. No law in any state prevents lifesaving treatment for women with ectopic pregnancies and other life-threatening conditions. Planned Parenthood itself says treating an ectopic pregnancy isn’t the same as getting an abortion. In a similar way, state laws currently in effect have exemptions to save the life of the mother.  “Regarding IVF, even the Washington Post has confirmed that state legislators are including explicit exemptions for fertility treatments.  “And finally, the pro-life movement does not support and has always rejected criminalizing and punishing women, period.  PROTECTING PREGNANCY CENTERS HELPING WOMEN    “ Rather than prey on their vulnerabilities and fears to promote abortion for all nine months, we should be coming together to make sure women have the love and support they need at every stage of pregnancy and beyond.   “There are more than 2,700 pregnancy centers in all 50 states. They outnumber Planned Parenthood by more than 2,000 facilities.  “These pregnancy centers—which are right now under violent attacks by pro-abortion groups—provide medical care, resources, education, and mentoring to women. Their work should be protected, not undermined and threatened.   DEFINING THE HUMAN RIGHTS ISSUE OF OUR GENERATION   “The Supreme Court has affirmed American people’s right to speak through their elected officials to enact laws that protect unborn children.  “The question is upon us. How do we want to define the human rights issue of our generation?    “Is it by dehumanizing life and promoting a culture that destroys the most vulnerable among us?  “Or is it by making abortion unthinkable by leading a new era where every person’s God-given unalienable human rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all?  “Our greatest challenges at every stage of life can’t be solved if we don’t get this right.”   LIVES WORTH LIVING    “I think about the youth suicide crisis in America today. We all know parents, teachers, doctors, and therapists who are hearing from children and young adults in despair. They are searching for purpose and meaning in their lives.  “Surely, we all agree that to rescue them from despair, we tell them the truth that their lives are worth living.   “We don’t double down on the lie that the value of their life can be in dispute. We surround them with community, love, support, and compassion. We help them find hope again.  “We help them revive meaning in their lives by celebrating what makes them unique, and reminding them that no one is meant to go through the harsh, heartbreaking, and challenging trials of life alone and afraid.  “The same goes for the teenager in danger of dying from a fentanyl poisoning, for the woman in a crisis pregnancy. For the person with a disability who has been told their life wouldn’t amount to much, and for every person who has been marginalized and treated unjustly because of their race, sex, and ancestry.  “Every person’s life is worth living. They can’t just be thrown away or discarded.   “Every person—born and unborn—has human rights. For America to be a more perfect union, our laws must reflect that.   “How do we help the most marginalized in society if the human rights of the weakest and most vulnerable aren’t recognized or protected?   “We can’t.”   HUMAN RIGHTS FOR THE UNBORN   “ This abortion agenda for all nine months of pregnancy will entrench a culture of fear, pain, and dehumanization.   “It cannot be our future. It’s not the will of the American people.  “I recognize all but one of my colleagues across the aisle in the People’s House are already on the record for the Abortion on Demand Until Birth Act. My appeal today is for my colleagues to abandon this radical agenda for no restrictions on abortion.  “Let’s come together for human rights of the unborn. Let’s come together around the reality that from the very beginning, every life has meaning and a purpose just like we have on behalf of people who are in search of security and a better life.  “Every life is worth living.”

Pro-life Pregnancy Centers Are Under Attack

In our last Lives Worth Living blog, we talked about the amazing work of pro-life pregnancy centers. Seventy-six percent of moms facing unexpected pregnancies say they would prefer to choose life if their circumstances were different. Pro-life pregnancy centers like the ones Cassie and Serena visited are helping moms at every stage of their pregnancy to find hope, guidance, sustained support, and security. It’s horrific that pro-life pregnancy centers helping women and moms are under attack and facing violent threats from pro-abortion activists. Instead of supporting and defending more pro-life pregnancy centers that provide health care and support to women at every stage of life, President Joe Biden and the Left are working to dismantle the work of these amazing centers. They won’t strongly condemn the violence and threats pregnancy centers are facing. In June alone, there were more than 30 attacks on pro-life pregnancy centers. Here are just a few: This Florida pregnancy care center was vandalized with graffiti of threatening phrases like, “Your time is up,” “We’re coming for U” and “Jane’s revenge.” LifeChoice Pregnancy Center in Winter Haven. Photo courtesy of Rebecca Klein Several pregnancy centers in Michigan were attacked in the span of just three days. One of the centers had multiple windows broken and graffiti of the phrase, “If abortion isn’t safe neither are you!” The Lennon Pregnancy Center in Dearborn. Photo courtesy of the Lennon Pregnancy Center A pregnancy center in Virginia was vandalized with graffiti that included the phrase, “If abortion ain’t safe you ain’t safe,” and an anarchist symbol. Multiple windows and the front door were also broken. Blue Ridge Pregnancy Center in Lynchburg. Photo courtesy of Lynchburg Police Dept. This Christian pro-life pregnancy center in Colorado is recovering from heavy fire and smoke damage after being set on fire by pro-abortion activists. The building also suffered from broken windows and graffiti. Life Choices in Longmont. Photo courtesy of Longmont Police Dept. A pregnancy center in Minnesota had windows broken and was vandalized with graffiti of the pro-abortion message, “Abortion is liberation.” Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life in Minneapolis. Photo courtesy of Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life Attacking these centers doesn’t celebrate the value and potential of human life or support women in a vulnerable position. These attacks do the opposite – signaling that a parent who has chosen life is unworthy of love and support. President Biden and the Left MUST condemn the violence and threats toward pro-life pregnancy centers. This is just the beginning of a new era to define the human rights issue of our generation. As Leader Rodgers said, “This Supreme Court decision marks a chance for us to restore hope and healing for every family — for moms and their children at every stage of life. May it begin with each one of us doing our part to protect and celebrate all life in the greatest experiment in self-governance the world has ever known.” Let's come together as a nation to affirm every life is worth living by providing care, hope, and support for moms and their children at every stage of life.   CLICK HERE to read more on the Abortion on Demand Until Birth Act. Every Mother Matters.

Lives Worth Living. Every mother matters. Meet moms Cassie and Serena. Cassie is a young mother who thought her only choice was to get an abortion, but after her first appointment with a pro-life pregnancy center everything changed. Here’s Cassie in her own words. “Once I saw the ultrasound and saw the heartbeat and the little flips he was doing...I decided that day when I saw the ultrasound that I wasn’t going to go through with the abortion.” After that first ultrasound, Cassie kept coming back. “I was up here all the time. Like, I was up here probably once a month. I would just come and see them, just to come in and say hi and of course every time they would always load me up with all kinds of baby stuff. Just because they wanted to make sure that I was comfortable and to let me know, you can do this.” Cassie at her baby shower thrown by the pregnancy center And, when it was time for her son to arrive, she defied what many told her she couldn’t do. “Seeing him was so, shocking. I just had a kid, you know. Like I just gave birth. At 19 years old I’m giving birth and doing something that a lot of people told me I couldn’t do, and I did it. And he’s here and I’m healthy and he’s healthy and we did perfect. Knowing that I’m going to have someone growing up and calling me mom is just a miracle. And I don’t know it’s just, it’s exciting, knowing that I made the perfect decision.” Cassie’s life is worth living. Cassie after she gave birth to her son Like Cassie, Serena also visited a pro-life pregnancy center, where she found support, love, and care. “Once I got my ultrasound and everything, they referred me to Becky. Which was, like, the best thing in my life. Becky helped me with everything.” “ I’m so happy everything that happened, happened. If I didn’t go to that women’s mobile clinic, I wouldn’t have met [Becky.]” Becky’s love and support showed Serena that her life and her baby’s is worth living. Serena and Becky sharing Serena’s experience with the pregnancy center. VISIT Human Coalition’s website to watch Serena and Becky share their stories. 76% of women seeking an abortion said they would choose to parent if their financial, housing, or educational circumstances were different. Pro-life pregnancy centers like the ones Cassie and Serena visited are helping moms overcome the challenges they face to choose motherhood. It’s horrific that pro-life pregnancies centers providing this security, stability, and hope to moms are under attack and facing violent threats from pro-abortion activists. Instead of supporting and defending more pro-life pregnancy centers that provide health care and support to women at every stage of life, President Joe Biden wants to force other pro-life providers to violate their religious beliefs and perform abortions. As Energy and Commerce Republican Leader Cathy McMorris Rodgers said , “President Biden’s decision to double down for more command and control by rolling back conscience protections is about forcing extreme positions on the American people, like abortion on demand until birth. This is wrong and dangerous. No one can be coerced by the federal government to violate their religious and sincerely held beliefs.” Unfortunately, nearly every Democrat in Congress supports the Abortion on Demand Until Birth Act. It overrides pro-life state laws andallows for any late-term abortion regardless of the welfare of the mother or the baby. It has nothing to do with women’s health, and everything to do with ignoring science to force an extreme position on all of America. It’s more radical than Roe — making America just as extreme as China and North Korea. Under the Democrats’ bill, viability is whatever the abortionist deems it to be. For moms like Cassie and Serena, we must stop the Left’s radical, extreme, and discriminatory abortion agenda and uphold the value, dignity, and potential of every person’s life – both mother and baby. Leader Rodgers: A Momentous Day for the Dignity and Sanctity of Every Human Life

Washington, D.C. — House Energy and Committee Republican Leader Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) released the following statement after the Supreme Court decided in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization to overturn Roe v. Wade and affirm the American people have the right to speak through their officials to enact laws that protect unborn children. “This is one of the most momentous days in American history for the dignity and sanctity of every human life. This is just the beginning of a new era to define the human rights issue of our generation and to provide care, hope, and support for moms and their children at every stage of their lives.   “Speaker Pelosi and the Democrats want an extreme and discriminatory pro-abortion agenda to be the law of the land. Their Abortion on Demand Until Birth Act nationalizes abortions for all nine months, making America just as radical as China and North Korea. It legalizes discriminatory abortions at any stage based on a baby’s sex, race, and disability, including Down syndrome. It also overrides state laws that protect women from coercion. No part of this agenda celebrates the dignity, value, or potential of human life. Yet, nearly every Democrat in Congress is on the record for it. “The Abortion on Demand Until Birth Act, which is more radical than Roe, must be stopped by a movement united behind our unalienable, God-given rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all. Every life is worth living. May this remain the moral bedrock that guides us and our great nation.”

Lives Worth Living. Meet Chloe.

Meet Chloe. Chloe lives life to the fullest. She loves to read, dance, travel, and play sports. Chloe was born with Down syndrome. Her life is proof that every life is worth living.    At just 19 years old, Chloe has a long list of accomplishments. She’s been on the big screen in New York City’s Times Square five times, met President Trump and Vice President Pence, appeared in countless magazines and articles, and even spoken before the United Nations twice to tell the world:   “Embrace don’t erase Down syndrome.”   Chloe and her dad, Kurt, speaking before the United Nations Chloe has shown the world that every person has value and potential. She helped pass Chloe’s Law in Pennsylvania, so parents receive accurate information about the pre-natal Down syndrome diagnosis and the great potential of their child’s life.   Chloe in July 2014 with Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett Chloe also helped pass a law in West Virginia that protects the value of every life, even those with an extra chromosome.  Chloe in March 2022 with West Virginia Governor Jim Justice  Unfortunately, Democrats want to eliminate and override laws like Chloe’s.   Nearly every Democrat in Congress supports the Abortion on Demand Until Birth Act.It overrides pro-life state laws, removes commonsense protections for women and children, and allows discriminatory abortions based on a baby’s race, sex, or disability – including Down syndrome. It nationalizes abortions for all nine months—making America just as extreme as China and North Korea.  This is more radical than Roe.   For people like Chloe, we must stop the Democrats’ extreme abortion on demand agenda and affirm that each life is worth living.   As Republican Leader of the Energy and Commerce Committee Cathy McMorris Rodgers said, the Abortion on Demand Until Birth Act, “isn’t science. It’s not the latest research. It has nothing to do with women’s health, and everything to do with ignoring science to force an extreme position on all of America.”  We must stop the Left’s radical, extreme, and discriminatory abortion agenda and uphold the value, dignity, and potential of every person’s life.   RETWEET and share to tell the world, Chloe’s life is worth living.   Click here to read more on the Abortion on Demand Until Birth Act.

Leader Rodgers to Becerra: Every Life Should be Given a Chance

Washington, D.C . — In a new letter, House Energy and Commerce Committee Republican Leader Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) asks Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) Xavier Becerra to take immediate action on the lack of reliable prenatal testing. Recent reporting from the N ew York Times raised serious concerns about extremely unreliable prenatal testing services, which have caused some women to end their pregnancies.  Key excerpts from Leader Rodgers’ letter:   RELIABILITY: “The Times’ report found that these tests are frequently wrong, sometimes more than 90 percent wrong for some genetic conditions. However, the Times reported that on product brochures and test result sheets, companies describe the tests to pregnant women and their doctors as near certain. Specifically, they advertise their findings as “reliable” and “highly accurate,” offering “total confidence” and “peace of mind” for expectant mothers who want to know as much as possible.”  WHAT UNITES US:  “Every woman’s journey to motherhood is different. Something that unites us is the uncertainty and the fear of the unknown. That should not be exploited with inaccurate tests that compound stress and anxiety during pregnancy. It is shocking that the laboratories and doctors recommended these tests without honestly communicating, or even worse, without knowing, the flaws of these tests.”  Leader Rodgers’ letter concludes, “These inaccurate results have led to devasting consequences. Every life should be given a chance, and I urge you to take immediate action in order to help prevent these avoidable tragedies and support pregnant women.”  CLICK HERE to read the full letter.  CLICK HERE to read more from the New York Times.
